I traveled to Burton from west side of Wichita to try this small town restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the Barn Bowl, which consists of corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, topped with chicken fried steak or chicken. I had the steak this time. I also had fried okra.

The hostess was charming and bubbly. My waitress was quick and also pleasant. The atmosphere was interesting, having memorabilia representing the significance that agriculture has in rural Kansas community’s.

We LOVE this restaurant!!! It is a 45 minute drive from our house, but it is so worth it! Best cheese fries ever! The chicken fried steak is amazing! The staff is always so welcoming it makes you feel like family! It is one of our favorite date night adventures!

Its perfect. We love the Barn. Came here for years. Food is amazing, great atmosphere. Waitresses are caring and helpful. Tried many things and the Pork Fritter Sandwich is still my fave. Hoping someday the bands on the weekend will be back. 

Establishment was clean, nicely decorated and had a good atmosphere (it was a little loud). The staff was friendly and helpful, our waitress was genuinely interested in our happiness with our meals. We had the cheese fries appetizer which was good but it felt like it was missing something. Some sort of seasonings or a sauce to dip them in might make a difference.

My gf had the sirloin with mashed potatoes and a side salad. Her steak was cooked perfectly to order and she was very satisfied with her meal. I had the chicken fried steak with fried okra and mashed potatoes and I was very happy with my meal as well. Price was good for the quality of the food. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to others!

I came to this place because it supposedly has the best chicken fried steak in Kansas. It also wasn’t very far off my route for the day. The special on Friday was chicken fried steak with a smaller portion. I got that and it was still way more than I could eat and I ended up taking half to go.

It was definitely one of the best chicken fried steaks I had ever had. The service at The Barn is wonderful and the decor is farm chic. I got here around 11:30 and I was the first customer in for lunch. By the time I left the place was packed. Even if you don’t like chicken fried steak, their menu is packed with comfort food favorites.

Love the food and building! Was freezing in there and my wife didn’t stay until meal finished cause she was so cold. Said couldn’t turn it up cause the kitchen workers were hot. Food was excellent though. Had Chicken Fried Steak and Prime Rib. Excellent.

Has become one of our top hangouts. Bar area is nice, gabs an area outside also. Slop bucket nachos are great.

Well worth the drive for the pork chops, nachos, and the shotgun shrimp! The shrimp was such a tasty surprise, and if you like blue cheese their dressing for the dinner salad is very rich.
